At Dealer Alchemist I work on dealer onboarding and website management tooling — bulk import, validation, and queue-backed site builds. I also introduced GCP Secret Manager across 12+ NestJS services, replacing scattered .env files and staging config forks. Secrets are centralized, keys normalized across environments, and the app fails fast at boot if critical credentials are missing.
Six years on a nationwide time management and payroll platform — 10,000+ users, legal constraints varying by county and state, timestamp conversion across time zones. Payroll accuracy depended on getting that right every time.
I led Laravel payroll development with database transactions, PHP type safety, and observers to keep time tracking consistent. Built an Angular 8 admin app as a lazy-loading modular monolith — role-specific dashboards, admin dev cycles roughly 50% faster.
Automated CI/CD across AWS EC2 staging and production. Deployment time dropped about 65%. Replaced Vagrant with Docker — local setup time down ~75%. Mentored juniors through workshops and pair programming.
Founded Project Ascend — a program immersing entry-level engineers in real-world delivery: stand-ups, issues, story pointing, and task management on a shared codebase. Participants built Intracom (Next.js, Express, MongoDB, Electron) as the capstone product.
